Misery Loves Company centers on a New Yorker (Emily C. Chang) who joins her friend in LA (Sara Amini) to live together in misery amongst the man-buns, wannabes, and Kombucha-lovers of Hollywood. Along the way, they try to find happiness while taking on casual racists, Youtube “influencers,” misogynists, cults, and general Millennial ennui.  The result is a show that marries Broad City’s female-driven comedy with Master of None’s political commentary.
